Usamos los adverbios de frecuencia para decir con qué frecuencia sucede o hacemos algo. Los esenciales son:
• Always ➝ Siempre
• Usually / Normally / Generally ➝ Usualmente
• Frequently / Often ➝ Frecuentemente, A menudo
• Sometimes ➝ A veces
• Rarely / Seldom ➝ Raramente
• Hardly Ever ➝ Casi nunca
• Never ➝ Nunca

• I always go to the gym every Monday.
Siempre voy al gimnasio todos los lunes.
• Mariana usually buys food in the supermarket.
Mariana usualmente compra comida en el supermercado.
• Pedro and Rodrigo frequently ride their bikes on weekends.
Pedro y Rodrigo frecuentemente andan en bicicleta los fines de semana.
• Sarah and her mother often sell paintings on the street.
Sarah y su madre suelen vender cuadros en la calle.
• They sometimes bake cakes in their free time.

Raramente tocas el violín.

REGLAS DE COMO USARLOS Y COLOCARLOS
➦ El adverbio de frecuencia va antes del VERBO y después del SUJETO.
• I always go out with my friends.
Siempre salgo con mis amigas.
• Freddy never talks with his mother.
Freddy nunca habla con su madre.
➦ Pero si el verbo es el "Verbo To be" o un "verbo modal" no se colocará el adverbio antes del verbo
• You are always complaining!
¡Siempre te estás quejando!
• I can never remember her name!
¡Nunca puedo recordar su nombre!
• You are always late!
¡Siempre llegas tarde!
➦Puedes situar un adverbio al final, al principio o al medio de una oración. Siempre depende del énfasis que le quieras dar a la oración.
• I sometimes go to the gym. / Sometimes, I go to the gym.
A veces voy al gimnasio.

CONSEJO: Nunca agregues un adverbio y sin su complemento directo.

CONSEJO: No puede existir una doble negación en inglés. Si un adverbio es negativo, el verbo debe ser afirmativo.

I have always to take my pills before going to bed. (Incorrecto)
I always have to take my pills before going to bed. (Correcto)
CONSEJO: Se usa "Have to" para enfatizar una obligación, pero en este caso "Have" no funciona como un verbo auxiliar sino como un verbo principal. Eso significa que el adverbio va delante de él.
